Andy Graham | Artistic Director

Andy Graham is the artistic director/writer and teacher working with children and young people from all backgrounds actively encouraging them to participate and engage in the arts.

In 1979 he formed and developed his own theatre, the original Snap Theatre Company, creating over 120 projects and involving over three and a half million young people in plays, workshops/courses and community projects covering themes on many aspects of life. As a writer he has co-wriiten with Roger Parsley: My Beautiful Laundrette,(Touring UK and San Francisco and 2 productions in London) Sense and Sensibility,Outstanding success in USA and subsequently toured London and the home counties) Maurice (at the RST in Straford, San Francisco and London), ARoom with A View( in Vancoover and the UK) and The Hoblins as well as many theatre in education pieces. 

In 2005 he left Snap to set up the ai ai Ltd charity to work internationally with teachers in Rwanda, Bangadesh, Romania, The Gambia and the UK developing training for teachers, creating new artistic networks and creative projects. The most notable of these projects involved 4500 children from 5 different countries,120 teachers and artists called The Longest story in the World. Now, after much demand from schools, theatres and actors, he is back with Snap to continue the work with and for young people.

In 2012, he began writing The Me books and by 2013 he has written a series of 6 books about children facing difficult situations across the world and yet overcoming them with courage, resilience and a great deal of imagination.


At the beginning of 2013 Andy was asked to join the real me productions as an actor in a new play  called Harvest in London.

He has recently been commissioned to write  plays for children in Barcelona and of course for Snap Theatre.

Mike Wood | Secretary

Mike was for 10 years Admin Director at Snap theatre and later a trustee then went on to be Admin Direcor at Horse and Bamboo Theatre and then acting General manager at Rhodes in Bishop’s Stortford after its £4M refurb.He has spent most of his career prior to Snap in the travel industry. He has been a Town councillor in Bishop’s Stortford for the last 25 years and an East Herts District Councillor for the last 21 years.He is a former Mayor of Bishop’s Stortford and a founder director of the YMCA in Bishop’s Stortford

Bob Taylor | Financial Advisor

Retired Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives having been employed in Local Government for forty years most of which as a Planning, Litigation and Prosecution Lawyer.

In 2008-2009 Mayor of Bishop's Stortford and was a Bishop's Stortford Town Councillor for twelve years with  four years as an East Herts District Councillor, currently Chairman of Bishop's Stortford Crime Prevention Panel.

Benjamin Lawrence

A professional actor , trained at The Oxford School of Drama. He has featured in numerous productions including a tour of the South West of England and a month at Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Revolution the Musical, which drew five star reviews. He joined Snap in October 2014 and completed a successful tour of 'The Boy and the Snowman' . He is now working in schools with both the 'Our Home, Our History' and the 'Stories from around the World' projects to bring a new way of learning to the classroom. And as a company member is continuing to support and develop storytelling and literacy in schools.
